Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience working within schools or educational settings preferred
• Ability to provide interpretive services for students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across various classrooms and with multiple educators

Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for students in classroom settings and school events
• Support instruction, classroom discussion, and peer interactions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Partner with teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure student needs are met
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism in all interactions
• Assist with the development and adaptation of instructional materials when needed
