Your qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, ideally in an educational setting
- Comfortable working one-on-one with elementary students
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or equivalent preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing interpretation services for a 1:1 elementary-age student
- Supporting communication between the student, staff, and peers
- Adhering to professional guidelines and maintaining confidentiality
- Collaborating with teachers and special education teams as needed
