Contract opportunities are available for experienced Sign Language Interpreters eager to make a difference in the lives of students. With up to five full-time openings, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and supporting students’ access to comprehensive learning experiences.

This role is for the upcoming school year, with contract assignments expected to start on 8/24/26 and continue through 7/15/27. Placement and caseload will be determined based on school needs and your preferences—helping ensure your skills are matched to the environment where you can have the greatest impact.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong proficiency and certification in sign language interpreting
  • Experience supporting students in academic settings, preferably K-12
  • Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate with DHH educators and classroom staff
  • Flexibility with caseload and classroom assignments
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing
  • Current licensure and eligibility to work in educational settings
  • Willingness to provide professional references prior to interview

Your key responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom lessons, discussions, and activities for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing
  • Foster clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
  • Adapt interpreting style for various classroom activities and student needs
  • Collaborate with specialists and support staff to optimize student learning experiences
