Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (required)
• Demonstrated experience in translating spoken English to American Sign Language (ASL) and back
• Ability to facilitate effective communication with Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH) individuals
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality
• Availability for a full school year (8/3/26–5/21/27), 37.5 hours per week
• Experience in an educational setting preferred

Responsibilities:

• Translate spoken English into ASL and vice versa for D/HH students and staff
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Serve as primary interpreter for two students at an elementary school setting
• Support communication in a variety of educational and possibly community scenarios
• Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure accessibility
