Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within school settings
• Hold a minimum 4.0 EIPA or be nationally certified by RID
• Proficient in facilitating communication between students and staff in classroom and school-related activities

• Able to maintain confidentiality and show sensitivity to diverse student needs

Duties:

• Deliver accurate 1:1 sign language interpreting for a student throughout the school day
• Interpret spoken and signed communication during classroom instruction, group activities, and assemblies
• Work closely with educators and school staff to understand daily lesson plans and support student participation
• Clarify and facilitate communication in a manner appropriate for the student’s grade and subject matter
• Monitor and adapt to the student’s needs, advocating for inclusive learning experiences
