Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in sign language interpretation, specifically in educational environments
- Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
- Experience supporting students in 1:1 settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with educators and school staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, high-quality interpretation services for a third-grade student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers to support classroom engagement and learning
- Collaborate with educators and related service providers to address the student's individual needs
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies and confidentiality requirements
- Contribute to a respectful and welcoming environment for all students
Schedule and Assignment Details:
- On-site position only; remote options are not available
- Workdays align with the academic calendar, from August 24, 2026, through June 3, 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–3:00 PM (exclusive of a 30-minute lunch break)
- Work closely with a single third-grade student, enabling focused, personalized support
