Key Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in sign language interpretation, specifically in educational environments
  • Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
  • Minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
  • Experience supporting students in 1:1 settings preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with educators and school staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, high-quality interpretation services for a third-grade student throughout the school day
  • Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers to support classroom engagement and learning
  • Collaborate with educators and related service providers to address the student's individual needs
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies and confidentiality requirements
  • Contribute to a respectful and welcoming environment for all students

Schedule and Assignment Details:

  • On-site position only; remote options are not available
  • Workdays align with the academic calendar, from August 24, 2026, through June 3, 2027
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–3:00 PM (exclusive of a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Work closely with a single third-grade student, enabling focused, personalized support
