Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience interpreting in educational settings is preferred
• Ability to adapt communication styles to fit age and learning level
• Skilled in collaborating with staff, teachers, and families
• Current certifications or credentials as required by state standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language for students, staff, and school community
• Support classroom instruction, assemblies, and extracurricular activities
• Work one-on-one and in group settings to ensure students have access to curriculum and campus events
• Foster positive relationships with students of varying communication needs
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Help facilitate communication during meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and IEPs as needed
