Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification or demonstrated competency in sign language interpretation
• Proficiency in literary and Nemeth Braille transcription
• Familiarity with K-12 educational settings and student support services
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, particularly in diverse teams
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time sign language interpreting for students, supporting educational and extracurricular activities
• Transcribe and produce instructional materials in Braille as needed, including tests, handouts, and textbooks
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and support staff to modify and adapt classroom content for accessibility
• Monitor and advocate for student needs during instructional periods
• Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when necessary, offering insight into appropriate accommodations
