- Relevant certification or licensure as required by state or educational authorities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate ASL interpretation during instruction, meetings, and school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school administration to support student learning
- Adapt interpreting techniques to match varying communication styles and educational levels
- Assist teaching staff by facilitating communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers
- Maintain accurate records of interpreting services and student progress
