Travel Educational Interpreter - Lexington, Kentucky

A school-based position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter in Lexington, KY. This role supports effective communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring accessibility and inclusion in the educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school activities.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff.
• Assist in the development of communication plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Travel may be required within the school district to support multiple locations.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language with demonstrated interpreting skills.
