You'll be working on a one-to-one basis, providing critical communication support that enables student participation and fosters inclusion. This full-time, on-site position is designed for a dedicated interpreter who values making a genuine difference every day.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 4.0 or above
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school or educational setting
- Ability to work full-time on site for the entire assignment duration
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, educators, and support staff
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all student matters
Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear, accurate American Sign Language interpretation for one elementary student throughout the school day
- Facilitate effective communication between the student and teachers, peers, and school staff
- Support the implementation of the student’s educational and social goals as specified by educational plans
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress documentation as needed
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure an inclusive learning environment
