Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Littleton, Colorado

This full-time, school-year position focuses on delivering essential services to both general and special education populations, ranging from mild to severe needs. Key Qualifications:

• Valid CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Authorization for educational sign language interpreting (required)
• EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher
• Previous experience working in K-12 settings, particularly in both general and special education classrooms
• Ability to collaborate with multiple school teams as an itinerant interpreter
• Proficient in American Sign Language and skilled at adapting interpreting strategies to student needs
• Organized, flexible, and responsive to scheduling across multiple school locations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in mainstream and specialized educational settings
• Support full access to curriculum, classroom discussions, and school activities
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure optimal learning outcomes
• Adjust interpreting methods based on the individual needs of students with mild to severe disabilities
• Travel between assigned schools according to daily and weekly schedules
