Multiple openings are available for skilled Sign Language Interpreters and ASL paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. With a 30-hour work week and a structured daily schedule (7:40 a.m.–2:00 p.m.), you'll provide vital communication access for students in inclusive, general education settings—both in 1:1 scenarios and as needed throughout the campus.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Minimum 4.0 EIPA score for interpreters
  • Consideration given to ASL paraprofessionals actively pursuing their certification
  • Previous experience supporting K-12 students in academic settings is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative work with educators and staff
  • Ability to adapt to varying school environments and student needs

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct 1:1 interpretation services for students integrated into general education classrooms
  • Supporting classroom participation and facilitating effective communication between students, teachers, and peers
  • Floating to additional assignments across campus as needed to ensure seamless support
  • Maintaining professionalism and adhering to ethical standards of interpretation in educational settings
  • Collaborating with school staff to foster an inclusive, accessible atmosphere for every learner
