Qualifications:

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience interpreting in school environments (K-12 preferred)
• Familiarity with IEPs and educational terminology
• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (state and/or national recognized)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation for students, staff, and parents in classrooms and school events
• Support educational goals by ensuring effective communication access
• Adapt interpreting style to meet individual student needs
• Maintain professional ethics and confidentiality
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration
