Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Manteca, CA

This full-time position provides a dynamic, collaborative setting within local schools near Manteca, offering 32.5 hours per week and a consistent weekday schedule from 7:40am to 2:00pm.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a 4.0 or higher on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
• Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in school or educational environments
• Comfortable providing one-on-one interpretation and supporting multiple students if needed
• Professional, adaptable, and able to collaborate with both faculty and students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for students in general education classrooms
• Work 1:1 with assigned students, supporting full participation in academic activities
• Serve as a resource and float interpreter as needed throughout the school day
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
• Partner with educators to ensure accessibility and enhance learning experiences
