This rewarding contract opportunity offers full-time hours, with two positions available for skilled interpreters. As a vital communication bridge, you'll work directly with students and staff to ensure inclusivity and accessibility throughout the school environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Holds at least a 3.5 EIPA score, ensuring proficient interpreting for educational settings
  • Eligible for the GaPSC Educational Interpreter Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of American Sign Language and interpreting best practices
  • Previous experience in school-based ASD or mainstream settings is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset for working within diverse multidisciplinary school teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction, announcements, and school activities between staff, students, and families
  • Support both elementary and high school students as needed
  • Facilitate clear and accurate communication in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with educators to support student learning goals and accessibility plans
  • Promote a positive and respectful environment for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
