Key Requirements:

  • Valid Oregon Sign Language Interpreter Certification/Licensure required
  • Experience interpreting in school settings (K-12 caseload strongly preferred)
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Commitment to full-time, onsite work for the duration of the school year (August 24, 2026 – June 11, 2027)
  • Willingness to travel to Rosenburg and Douglas, OR locations

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff across K-12 grade levels
  • Foster inclusion and accessibility within diverse classroom environments
  • Collaborate with educational teams to ensure effective communication and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Adapt to changing educational needs and environments
