You’ll provide interpretation services to high school-aged students and collaborate with educational teams to foster accessibility and success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient in American Sign Language interpretation, with previous VOCO (virtual interpreting) experience
  • EIPA score of 4.0 (including written component) OR listed on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry (LCDC Interpreter Registry - Department of Health); RID and NIC certifications accepted with written test completion
  • Familiarity with educational settings and interpreting for high school-aged individuals
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sign language interpretation for secondary students in a school setting, adapting to individual educational needs and class subjects
  • Work with teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective communication and student engagement
  • Facilitate interpretation both in-person and virtually as required
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality standards within the school environment
  • Address and adapt to evolving caseload assignments across one or more campus locations as designated
