This role offers:

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Certification as an Educational Interpreter (such as EIPA or national credential preferred)
• Experience interpreting in an educational setting with children and/or adolescents
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary school teams
• Strong communication and adaptability skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction and school communications for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Facilitate effective communication between staff, students, and families
• Support students’ educational and social experiences through precise ASL interpretation
• Assist with IEP meetings and other school-related activities when requested
• Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and ethics
