Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support communication needs in school settings. This travel position is based in Middlebury, VT, offering an opportunity to work across multiple educational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff
- Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school events
- Assist with educational materials and support services to ensure accessibility
- Collaborate with educators and support personnel to promote inclusive learning
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
Qualifications:
- Proficient in American Sign Language with strong interpreting skills
- Experience working in educational settings preferred
