Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Monon, Indiana

What we’re looking for:

• Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in an educational setting

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for a student during classroom instruction, school activities, and other educational settings
• Accurately convey spoken information into ASL and interpret the student’s communication for teachers and peers
• Foster an inclusive learning environment by supporting mutual understanding and effective participation
• Collaborate regularly with educational staff and other professionals to address the student’s learning needs and goals
