Qualifications:
- Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization (or ability to obtain)
- Associate’s degree or higher in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or related field
- EIPA Written Examination passed
- EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ or current RID Certification
- Background screening and all Colorado Department of Education compliance
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Prior experience in educational interpreting and strong ASL proficiency preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation throughout the instructional day
- Interpret classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and events
- Facilitate communication among students, staff, and teachers
- Maintain confidentiality in line with FERPA and district policies
- Prepare for assignments by reviewing materials as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and service providers to support students
- Uphold professional standards for educational interpreting
