Sign Language Interpreter in Mooresville, NC

This position runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, maintaining a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (7:00am – 2:30pm, 35 hours per week). Situated within a supportive school community, you will provide one-on-one interpretive services at an elementary school campus. Arrive daily ahead of students to ensure readiness and a positive start for the day.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Minimum EIPA score of 3.5, or RID certification (either credential satisfies eligibility)
• Strong understanding of child development and educational settings
• Ability to adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality
• Previous experience interpreting in school environments is highly valued
• Commitment to punctuality and professionalism with mornings starting before student arrival

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver real-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students during instructional time and related school activities
• Support communication between students, teachers, and staff to facilitate full participation
