Sign Language Interpreter in Mount Vernon, KY

This contract opportunity is open to skilled professionals adept in sign language interpretation and American Sign Language (ASL) instruction. Out-of-state applicants will receive dedicated guidance through the Kentucky certification process, making this an incredible chance to make a difference whether you are local or coming from afar.

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about facilitating communication and learning for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students while collaborating closely with teachers and educational staff. If you hold a 4.0 EIPA or are NIC-certified and willing to obtain your Kentucky license, you are encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school environment
• EIPA 4.0 or higher, or NIC certification (with commitment to secure Kentucky license)
• Capability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable learning environments
• Positive, adaptable attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
