Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficient in ASL and experienced with foundational level language
  • Credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for educational settings
  • Comfortable supporting very young children who are new to ASL
  • Ability to bridge communication between educators and students
  • Patient, compassionate, and eager to encourage language development
  • Collaborative mindset for working alongside teachers and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instructions, activities, and interactions using basic ASL
  • Foster an inclusive environment to help Kindergarten students develop early communication skills
