Two onsite opportunities are available for professionals skilled in sign language interpretation and/or school psychology, providing vital 1:1 support for an early elementary student in a highly sought-after and welcoming district near Nashville, TN.

This position is ideal for compassionate interpreters or school psychologists with a commitment to empowering students with diverse needs. Assignments run from August 10, 2026, to May 26, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week, ensuring you are consistently engaged and making a direct impact every day.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency as a sign language interpreter (schools experience strongly preferred)
  • School psychologist certification and background are advantageous
  • Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 required
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged children
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude toward unique, individualized student care

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one interpreting services or psychological support to a designated early elementary student
  • Facilitate clear, effective communication between student, classroom teachers, and peers
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the student as further details are provided
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions
  • Actively participate in IEP or team meetings as needed
