What You’ll Need:

  • RID Certification, EIPA, or equivalent (as required by state/district)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language
  • Prior experience interpreting in school settings preferred
  • Ability to adapt to various classroom environments and age groups
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current state and/or national background checks (or willingness to obtain)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and educators in classroom and school activities
  • Facilitate effective communication to promote inclusive education
  • Collaborate with special education teams to support individualized student needs
  • Adhere to professional standards of confidentiality and ethical interpreting practices
  • Support student participation in academic and extracurricular programs
