In this role, you’ll work one-on-one, providing vital communication access for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Completion of EIPA certification with a score of 3.5 or higher
• Valid Sign Language Interpreter credentials (state-specific if applicable)
• Prior experience working with students or within school settings preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary education team
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Accommodations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing PreK student throughout the school day
• Accurately interpret classroom instruction, activities, meetings, and events
• Bridge communication between the student, teachers, classmates, and staff
• Support the student in accessing curriculum and social settings
• Adhere to the student’s IEP and all school guidelines and procedures
• Partner with special education professionals to maximize student success
