Key Qualifications:
- Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf OR a score of 4.0 or above on EIPA/ESSE-I/R/NAD/ACCI assessments
- Candidates with EIPA under 4.0 are encouraged to apply (will be referred to as ASL Para)
- Experience in educational interpreting preferred
- Proficiency in both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality interpreting for deaf/hard of hearing students in elementary/intermediate settings
- Support students academically—reading, writing, math, and life skills
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and peers to foster an inclusive environment
- Supervise students during classroom, recess, and community activities
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, approximately 30 hours/week, onsite only
