Qualifications:
- Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID), or a score of 4.0 or above on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessments.
- Candidates with EIPA scores under 4.0 are welcome and will be considered for ASL Paraeducator roles.
- Experience facilitating communication for deaf/hard of hearing students preferred.
- Ability to work onsite full-time (approximately 30 hours/week).
- Openness to work in elementary and intermediate school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting for students, teachers, and staff.
- Support students across academic subjects and life skills development.
- Monitor and assist students during various classroom, outdoor, and community activities.
- Communicate effectively as a liaison within educational teams.
