Qualifications

• Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, or a score of 4.0 or above on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessments.
• Candidates with EIPA scores under 4.0 are welcome; such candidates will be referred to as ASL Para.
• Comfortable working with middle and high school students (indicate your preference).
• Ability to provide both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting.
• Professionalism and reliability for onsite, full-time roles (approximately 30 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students, teachers, and peers.
• Support students academically in areas such as reading, writing, math, and life skills.
• Monitor students during school and community activities.
• Collaborate effectively with educational staff and personnel.
