Key Qualifications:

  • National certification or state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (as required)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Prior experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different schools and teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate interpreting services for students and staff district-wide
  • Facilitate effective communication in various classroom and school-related activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other interpreters
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
