Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Current licensure or credentials as required by the state of Illinois
• Experience working in a school environment, preferably with DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for fostering accessible learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction and student interactions
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
• Provide interpretation for related services (e.g., OT, Social Work)
• Serve as a substitute interpreter as needed in a FLOAT position
• Support students’ educational access and success
