This vital position makes a daily impact, offering two full-time opportunities for dedicated 1:1 support and a part-time opening assisting a severe and profound needs student. Expect to collaborate closely with students and educational teams, ensuring clear communication and access throughout the school day across campuses less than a mile apart.

Key Qualifications:

  • EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher, or valid RID/NAD Certification
  • Successful completion of Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) Level III or above
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a professional Sign Language Interpreter (preferred)
  • Ability to adapt swiftly to varying classroom environments
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering inclusive learning

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide seamless sign language interpretation for assigned high school students in both academic and non-academic settings
  • Travel with students between buildings as needed within close proximity
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
  • Contribute to an inclusive, engaged learning atmosphere by promoting understanding and participation
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
