Make a difference in the lives of high school students by putting your skills and compassion to work as a Sign Language Interpreter. We're offering contract opportunities for talented interpreters looking to support students in dynamic educational settings near Owasso, OK. There are currently two full-time openings (35 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) and a part-time opening (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) to provide 1:1 support for high school students. One role involves assisting a student who requires travel to a nearby building, allowing for meaningful engagement and variety in your work week. Typical schedules run from 8:40 AM to 4:15 PM.

Ideal candidates possess:

  • A current EIPA score of 4.0 or above, or RID/NAD Certification
  • At least a QAST Level III screening or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years of sign language interpretation experience preferred
  • Ability to foster supportive, communicative environments for students
  • Flexibility and professionalism in adapting to classroom and 1:1 settings
  • Dedication to confidentiality and student-centered service

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear and accurate interpretation for high school students in classroom and individual settings
  • Collaborating with school staff to ensure student needs are met across different environments
  • Promoting student engagement and equal access to learning experiences
  • Supporting students as they transition between locations as needed
