Both roles require onsite presence, engaging directly with students and staff to ensure clear communication and full participation in all school activities. Here’s a look at the available positions:

Qualifications & Certifications:

• EIPA score of 3.5+ with ISBE Approval, or 3.0–3.4 with interim ISBE Interim Approval.
• BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials also accepted with appropriate ISBE Approval.
• Previous experience in an educational setting is highly regarded.
• Strong command of American Sign Language (ASL) and excellent interpersonal skills.

Role Details:

• First opportunity at a dedicated center for students with diverse needs. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm, lasting through May 28, 2027.
• Second position based at a supportive high school environment, offering daily hours Monday–Friday, 8am–12pm, through May 20, 2027.
• Start dates for both are immediate, ensuring a prompt and smooth onboarding process.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication between students, faculty, and staff.
• Interpret classroom instruction, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to tailor approaches for individual student needs.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning.
