Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter with a minimum 3.5 EIPA.
  • Previous experience interpreting in an educational setting, preferably at the middle-school level.
  • Strong knowledge of Deaf culture and fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Comfortable working onsite; candidates open to virtual interpreting (VOCO) are also welcome to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for a middle school student within classroom and school-related settings.
  • Ensure accurate communication between the student, teachers, and peers.
