Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a sign language interpreter in an educational environment is highly desirable
• Ability to accurately interpret and convey both spoken and signed communications

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, facilitating communication between students, teachers, and peers
• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, assemblies, and extracurricular activities
• Support staff and participate in educational planning and team meetings as needed
• Adapt interpreting style and method to match various subjects, ages, and learning needs
