Key Qualifications:

• Hold current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher required
• Experience supporting K-12 students, preferably in special education settings
• Comfortable assisting students who use wheelchairs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and other school staff
• Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential student information

Role Overview:

• Provide interpreting services for a high school student in an adaptive classroom setting
• Deliver compensatory services as directed by student’s Individualized Education Plan
• Support communication needs throughout daily classroom activities and peer interactions
• Collaborate closely with special education teachers and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive student support
• Adapt interpreting strategies based on student needs and feedback from the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate logs of services rendered in accordance with school policies
• Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment

This position is a full-time, onsite assignment covering the 2026-2027 school year. Interviews for selected candidates will begin the week of July 6th, 2026.
