Key Qualifications:
- Hold current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher required
- Experience supporting K-12 students, preferably in special education settings
- Comfortable assisting students who use wheelchairs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and other school staff
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential student information
Role Overview:
- Provide interpreting services for a high school student in an adaptive classroom setting
- Deliver compensatory services as directed by student’s Individualized Education Plan
- Support communication needs throughout daily classroom activities and peer interactions
- Collaborate closely with special education teachers and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- Adapt interpreting strategies based on student needs and feedback from the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate logs of services rendered in accordance with school policies
- Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
This position is a full-time, onsite assignment covering the 2026-2027 school year. Interviews for selected candidates will begin the week of July 6th, 2026.
