What you’ll bring:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, ideally in an educational setting
- Ability to interpret conversations and classroom activities for young children
- Comfort working one-on-one within a Pre-K environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers and support staff
- Relevant licensure or certification as required by state regulations
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, age-appropriate interpretation for a Pre-K4 student during instructional and non-instructional activities
- Facilitate understanding between the student, peers, and school staff
- Support classroom inclusion and engagement throughout the school day
