Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold an EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or be an American Sign Language (ASL) fluent paraprofessional
- Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, particularly in a school setting
- Ability to facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and peers using ASL
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
- Collaborative spirit with the flexibility to adapt to individual student needs
- Patience, empathy, and outstanding interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a 1:1 interpreter for a 4th-grade student in a general education classroom
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment by bridging communication gaps
