Enjoy a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week, from 7:50am to 2:15pm, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while making a meaningful difference. This one-on-one opportunity involves close collaboration with both educators and students, ensuring seamless support throughout the school day.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold an EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or be an American Sign Language (ASL) fluent paraprofessional
  • Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, particularly in a school setting
  • Ability to facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and peers using ASL
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
  • Collaborative spirit with the flexibility to adapt to individual student needs
  • Patience, empathy, and outstanding interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a 1:1 interpreter for a 4th-grade student in a general education classroom
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment by bridging communication gaps
  • Support classroom participation, instruction, and social interaction for the student
  • Work with teachers and staff to adapt materials and instruction as needed
  • Uphold all relevant confidentiality and ethical standards
