Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to a rewarding contract role supporting a middle school student. Located near Reedsburg, WI, this full-time opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact each day in an educational setting. You’ll work closely with a middle schooler, helping facilitate clear and effective communication throughout the school day from 7:40 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday—totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language, with experience supporting children or adolescents in an educational environment.
  • Valid certification or credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or state-specific equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and patience when working one-on-one with students.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time sign language interpretation for a middle school-aged student during class, extracurricular activities, and school events.
  • Adapt interpreting style to suit the student’s learning needs and settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure the student’s full participation and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided.
  • Support the creation of an accessible, positive learning environment.
