Educational Interpreter - Rio Linda, California

Step into a meaningful role supporting K-12 students as a contract Sign Language Interpreter on a journey that runs from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification/license valid in California
• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
• Experience working with K-12 students preferred
• Ability to provide accurate, expressive sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpretation
• Strong commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality
• Confidence working as part of an educational team and independently

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one sign language interpretation for a designated student throughout the school day
• Adapt interpreting style to classroom content and individual student needs across grade levels K-12
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to support the academic and social growth of the student
• Maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity in all interactions
• Keep accurate daily records of interpreting assignments and student interaction, adhering to school and district policies
