Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience working within schools or with children and adolescents is highly preferred
• Familiarity with IEPs and educational terminology a plus
• Clear background check and relevant certifications or licensure as required by state and district guidelines
• Professionalism, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, assemblies, and school activities
• Facilitate clear communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and teachers, peers, and staff
• Interpret for meetings or conferences as needed, including IEP or parent-teacher meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting
