Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter with credentials ready for verification
  • Minimum 4.0 EIPA score required
  • Previous experience providing interpreting support within school settings strongly preferred
  • Skilled at facilitating communication and enhancing access to learning for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to ethical standards and student confidentiality

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, on-site interpreting services for one third-grade student
  • Support classroom participation, engagement, and instruction by accurately conveying spoken and signed information
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
  • Contribute to student goals and learning outcomes by adapting communication to individual needs
  • Assist educators in fostering a supportive and accessible classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and actively participate in planning meetings as required
  • Maintain professional documentation and adhere to all district protocols
