This is a rewarding opportunity to help a student access their education, build connections throughout the school day, and work alongside a dedicated team of educators and support staff.

Position Details

Assignment Duration:
Immediate Start - End of School Year

Setting:
In-Person Only

Grade Level:
10th Grade Students

Schedule:

35 hours per week
8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Courses Supported:

• Geometry
• U.S. History
• Focused Skills (Structured Study Hall)
• Fashion & Merchandise

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers.
• Support student participation in classroom instruction, discussions, assignments, and school-related activities.
• Help ensure equal access to educational opportunities while promoting student engagement and independence.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and district policies at all times.

Qualifications

• Sign Language Interpreter credentials and/or educational interpreter qualifications in accordance with state and district requirements.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for supporting student success.
