In this role, you’ll directly support a satellite program at Wentworth Junior High, stepping in while one of our valued interpreters is on leave. You’ll be the bridge of communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) students in grades 5-8, facilitating their learning journey both in dedicated DHH settings and mainstream classrooms. Key Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Experience in school-based or DHH classroom settings preferred
• Proficiency in interpreting for a range of ages, ideally grades 5-8
• Ability to facilitate communication in mainstream and specialized classes

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction and peer interactions for DHH students
• Travel with students into mainstream classes, ensuring full participation
• Support students during related services (OT, social work, etc.)
• Collaborate with educational staff to enhance student inclusion
