An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support an elementary school setting in Statesville, NC. This contract role offers a consistent schedule with a student caseload at the elementary level. The position runs from ASAP through May 27, 2026, providing valuable experience while working closely with young learners and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality sign language interpreting services for elementary students.
• Arrive prior to student arrival each day to prepare for effective communication.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate inclusive classroom environments.
• Adhere to school policies and maintain professional conduct in all interactions.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) credential.
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher OR RID certification as an alternative credential.
• Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Statesville, NC with no telecommuting options.
• Commitment to a 35-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, including a 30-minute paid lunch break.
