Take this opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing communication access to students as a full-time Sign Language Interpreter. This contract position is set within an educational environment, working closely with one student on a 1:1 basis for a school year calendar, offering steady and rewarding work from now until June 18, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum score of 75% on the EIPA written assessment
  • Either a 4.0 or higher on the EIPA performance, or hold a current NIC or RID certification
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting in 1:1 and/or small group settings
  • At least two years of recent experience as an interpreter is preferred
  • Proficient in American Sign Language, with the ability to effectively support students in a school setting

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a 1:1 interpreter for a student throughout the academic year (180 student days)
  • Facilitate clear and accurate communication between students, staff, and peers
  • Collaborate with educators to support academic and social growth
  • Adhere to professional confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Commit to a schedule of 7 hours each day, 35 hours each week
