Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with the ability to interpret effectively in academic settings
• National Interpreter Certification (NIC), EIPA, or state equivalent preferred
• Experience working with school-aged children and educational staff
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to fostering inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction and school communications for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and support personnel
• Assist with IEP meetings, extracurricular activities, and parent–teacher conferences as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to student needs at all times
