Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Stockton, California

Exciting opportunities await for skilled Sign Language Interpreters passionate about supporting students' educational journeys. Multiple interpreter roles are available for the full 2026-2027 school year in a dynamic campus setting near Stockton, CA.

In this contract position, you’ll work hands-on with students in general education classrooms, facilitating communication and ensuring full participation. The schedule follows a consistent 7:40 AM to 2 PM weekday routine, with a total of 32.5 hours per week. You’ll primarily assist students on a one-to-one basis but may occasionally provide interpretation services elsewhere on the campus as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and current Sign Language Interpreter credential
• Minimum EIPA score of 4.0 is required
• Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language
• Experience working with children or in educational environments is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative attitude

• Deliver one-on-one interpretation for students in general education settings
• Facilitate clear communication between students, peers, and staff
• Adapt interpretation to various classroom activities and needs
• Assist with interpreting duties across the campus when required
