What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter (ASL proficiency required)
• Proficiency in creating and interpreting Braille materials
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and paraprofessionals
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Compassion and patience when working with students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with educational environments and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is a plus
• Relevant certification(s) for interpreting and/or Braille transcription preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing within classroom and school settings
• Translate printed instructional materials into Braille for students with visual impairments
• Assist with assessments, homework, and classroom materials to ensure accessibility
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive environment
• Maintain all records, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies and legal requirements
• Offer guidance and training to staff about accessible resources as needed
